Both a Funeral and Celebration of Life serve as a way for families and friends to acknowledge and recognize the passing of a loved one and say their goodbyes. Traditionally, funerals follow common rituals and customs and tend to be a more structured ceremony. Usually, it has four main parts: the visitation, the funeral service, the committal service, and the funeral reception.
A celebration of life has a more uplifting atmosphere that reflects on positive stories and memories that involved your loved one. The major benefit of a celebration of life is that it allows you the freedom to best display your loved one’s personality, values, and passions, in whichever way you see fit. These celebrations can take place immediately following the funeral service, but often occur weeks, months, or even on the year anniversary following the death. Beyond that, there are no rules or guidelines for a celebration of life, it can truly be anything you imagine it to be!
No, we are an event planning company that coordinates and manages Celebrating the Life of your loved one. Our personalized events are typically celebrated after the memorial service at an offsite venue. We do not assist clients in handling remains but are happy to make local referrals if asked.
Every Celebration of Life is as different as the honoree we are celebrating, making it impossible to determine the cost of services without an initial consultation. Rates for full-service planning start at $3,000. A detailed quote for the cost of services will be provided following your complimentary consultation.
